U.F.O. TW Broken? Repairs and the Maker's Warranty

U.F.O. TW Broken? Repairs and the Maker's Warranty

When I asked VORZE, the maker of the U.F.O. TW, in March 2023, this is what they told me:

The U.F.O. TW can be repaired
There's no warranty card, so there's no warranty (as of September 2026 there is a 3-month warranty — see below)
Repairing one cup often costs up to ¥17,200

In short

My own advice: rinsing it under water can lead to breakdowns, so I'd avoid it (even though it is rated IPX5 waterproof and officially washable)

Does the U.F.O. TW Come with a Warranty or Warranty Card?

My U.F.O. TW didn't come with anything like a warranty card.

Some products have one printed on the box, but mine didn't.

Sometimes it's part of the user guide, but not here.

So I asked VORZE directly whether there's a warranty.

Their answer (March 2023) was: “There is no warranty.” That has since changed: as of September 2026, VORZE's support page says the U.F.O. TW is covered for 3 months from the purchase date even without a warranty card, as long as you can show proof of purchase (the warranty is valid in Japan only, and second-hand units aren't covered).

What If the U.F.O. TW Is Defective on Arrival?

If you bought it from NLS (the official Japanese online store for RENDS/VORZE, and the only shop selling the U.F.O. TW when I wrote this), they handle initial defects. When I wrote this I described it as within 8 days of purchase; as of September 2026, NLS's policy says within 8 days of arrival. After inspecting it they send a replacement, or refund you if a replacement isn't available.

So check that everything works as soon as your U.F.O. TW arrives.

You can report an initial defect from your order information on your NLS account page (still true as of September 2026).

Choose “The item I received was damaged” and then “Electric item.”

Once you've used your U.F.O. TW, you can't return it or get a refund.
So test every function before you actually use it.

Can You Get the U.F.O. TW Repaired?

Repairs are handled by the maker, VORZE.

I checked VORZE's official website first.

At the time (March 2023), it only mentioned repairs for the A10 Cyclone SA Plus.

So I asked VORZE whether they could repair it.

They said the U.F.O. TW can be repaired, and that fixing one cup often costs up to ¥17,200 (March 2023).

You send it to them first and ask for a quote.

They also told me that repairs require your receipt.

So if you bought your U.F.O. TW second-hand, for example at an auction, they may not repair it.

Can You Buy a Replacement Charger?

When I checked in March 2023, NLS did not sell a charger for the U.F.O. TW. That has changed: as of September 2026, NLS's VORZE spare-parts page lists a dedicated U.F.O. TW charger for ¥3,663.

Back then, it only had one for the U.F.O. SA.

At the time, I thought it was worth asking VORZE whether they'd sell one directly.

The A10 Piston SA's charger looks similar, but the plug is a different size, so it won't work.

I also thought even VORZE might not be able to sell one, so my idea was to buy a similar charger and see whether it charged the U.F.O. TW.

My advice then was to keep searching patiently on Mercari or Amazon Japan (Japanese marketplaces). Now that NLS lists the official charger, check there first.

So treat the charger as carefully as the U.F.O. TW itself — otherwise you may end up unable to use it.

Nothing happens when I press the button

First, check whether the U.F.O. TW turns on at all.

If it doesn't turn on, check whether it charges.

If it charges and turns on but the buttons don't respond, the button is most likely broken.

There are screws you can open, but doing so means VORZE will no longer repair it, so I don't recommend it.

I recommend simply sending it to VORZE for repair.

When I checked in March 2023, someone was selling a U.F.O. TW with one broken cup for ¥25,000 at an online auction, so buying one like that is another option.

It won't charge

The key is to figure out which part is broken.

You need to work out whether the problem is the cradle or the U.F.O. TW itself.

Start by pressing the button on the cradle and see whether it lights up.

If it does, the power cable and the cradle are working.

If the cradle doesn't respond, the power cable or the cradle may be faulty.

Check the power cable for any breaks.

It also may not charge if there's something like a paper clip stuck on the magnetic contacts.

If only one cup won't charge, that cup may be the one that's broken.

If the charger cable is broken, finding exactly where it's broken gives you a good chance of fixing it.

If you can't repair it yourself, a small local electronics shop may be able to fix it for you.

The cradle's warming function doesn't work

Pressing the button on the U.F.O. TW cradle to start warming

Check that the charging cable is plugged in properly.

The warming function only starts if you press and hold the cradle's button.

Check whether the light turns green.

Normally, after about 10 minutes it gets warm enough to feel.

If both cups still charge, you can also just give up on the warming function.

Both cups make the same movement and never move differently

The left and right cups sync with each other over Bluetooth and make the same movement. That's normal.
It's how the U.F.O. TW is designed, so nothing is wrong.

How to Keep Your U.F.O. TW from Breaking

Clean it with wet wipes and avoid rinsing it when you can

It is rated IPX5 waterproof, and the official U.F.O. TW page on Adult Festa says you can wash the whole thing after use (as of September 2026), but to be safe I recommend using only a little water.

Water could get in through the power button, so it's safest to keep the area around the button dry.

In fact, I saw a U.F.O. TW with one broken cup being sold at an online auction.

It's waterproof, but I think drying it thoroughly is important if you don't want it to break.

Wipe off water and lotion thoroughly

If you don't dry it, it can also get moldy.

After washing, wipe off the water and let it dry completely.

That lowers the risk of water getting inside the U.F.O. TW.

Be careful with the power connector

If you don't need to put it away after each use, avoid plugging and unplugging the power cord every time.
The plug is the part most likely to break.

Can You Take the U.F.O. TW Apart?

Each cup does have a small screw.
So yes, you can open it.

But VORZE won't repair it after that, so only do it at your own risk, assuming it can't be repaired.

Opening the screw also makes it easier for water to get in there, so be careful.
