A10 Cyclone SA Not Working? Fixes and the 3-Month Warranty

- It's broken — can I fix it myself somehow?
- Will they repair the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS for a fee?
- Is there a warranty? How do I use it?

This article is for you if you're asking these questions.
It covers what to try before you decide it's broken.
It would be a shame to treat it as broken when it isn't.
First, try the simple checks you can do yourself (VORZE's manual forbids taking it apart, repairing or modifying it yourself, so stick to checks like charging).
There's a 3-month warranty and there were paid repairs (as of 2023), so this article also explains how to use them.
If you haven't bought one yet, here's my detailed review after actually using the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS:

[Right After You Buy] Test It While You Can Still Return a Defective Unit!
Test your A10 Cyclone SA PLUS as soon as it arrives.
If it's defective out of the box, you can get it exchanged within 8 days of delivery (NLS's policy, still the same as of September 2026).
After that you'd have to use the 3-month warranty, which is more of a hassle.
At NLS (the official Japanese online store for RENDS/VORZE), where I bought my genuine A10 Cyclone SA PLUS, you can request a return or send an inquiry for each item from the order history on your account page.

Fixes for Each Kind of A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Problem
It won't move
If you haven't used it for a long time, it may not move.
Charge it fully, then check whether it moves.

If the lamp is blue, it's in sync mode with a VR video, so you can't run it with the buttons.
If the lamp is white, it isn't synced, so the buttons work.
Check the lamp color.
It won't connect to the VR headset over Bluetooth

First, check that your VR headset is supported by Adult Festa (a Japanese VR video site).
When I wrote this in 2022, only the headsets below could sync. As of September 2026, Adult Festa says a Meta Quest works too, through its 4DMEDIAPLAYER+ smartphone app or the PC version of 4DMEDIAPLAYER over Quest Link (the Quest on its own can't drive the toy).
- SKYWORTH-4D S801
- SKYWORTH-4D PRO-802
- DPVR-4D
- DPVR-4D Pro (all four are still listed as supported as of September 2026)
If you're using one of these headsets and it still won't connect, first turn both the VR headset and the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS off and on again.

If the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS is connected to the smartphone controller app, it can't sync with the VR headset either.
The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS won't connect to my PC over Bluetooth
Check whether your PC has Bluetooth built in.
If you have another PC, check whether it connects to that one.
That tells you where the problem is.
Buying an external Bluetooth adapter to test is also a good idea.
In 2022, NLS also sold a wireless adapter for this. But as of September 2026, Adult Festa says the current PC version of 4DMEDIAPLAYER doesn't support VORZE's own USB adapter; it needs built-in Bluetooth or an external Bluetooth 4.0 (or later) receiver.

The connection to the PC keeps dropping
If the PC and the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS are too far apart, the connection drops more easily.
Using it within 1 meter (about 3 feet) is recommended.
It may also be a compatibility issue with that PC, so if you have a second one, check whether the connection stays stable with it.
It won't charge
The key is working out whether the charging cable or the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS itself is at fault.
So try charging with a different cable if you have one.
If that works, the cable was the problem.
If the cable is fine and the machine seems to be at fault, check the power lamp.
When mine was charging properly, the lamp on the power button lit up green. (VORZE's manual, checked September 2026, says it blinks green while charging, goes off when fully charged, and blinks red when the battery is low.) ↓↓

The buttons don't work
If the buttons don't work, it may be in sync mode.
When the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS lamp is blue, it's in sync mode and the buttons don't work.
If it isn't in sync mode and the buttons still don't work, check whether it moves with the smartphone controller app.
You could install the app from here (2022):
>>> NLS (adult goods store)When I wrote this in 2022, the official app ran only on Android, not on Apple iOS (see below for iPhones today).
The smartphone controller app doesn't work

If you want to use the smartphone controller app and it won't work, your phone may be an Apple one. (As of September 2026, NLS points iPhone users to BLE ToyBox, a free unofficial app on the App Store for iOS 15.0 or later.)
The official app only supported Android when I tested it in 2022, so keep that in mind.
I opened the iOS app, but it didn't recognize either the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS or the A10 Piston as a device it could connect to.
Does the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Have a Warranty?

The A10 Piston had no warranty (as of 2022), but the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS has a 3-month warranty (still 3 months from the purchase date as of September 2026).
A warranty card comes with it when you buy it new.
VORZE, the maker of the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS, says this on its official site:
“For VORZE A10 Cyclone SA units sold in Japan, if a defect occurs within the warranty period under proper use according to the user guide or other instructions, RENDS, the manufacturer, will repair or replace it free of charge, except in the cases listed below.”
“However, repairs after the 3-month warranty period are charged, and consumables (such as the built-in battery) are not covered.”
“Exclusions”
“If this warranty card and the receipt or proof of purchase are not presented with the claim.
Source: https://www.vorze.jp/contact/consumer/
If the purchase date is not written on the warranty card, or there is no document (such as a receipt) showing the purchase date.
Faults or damage caused by handling that goes against the cautions in the user guide or on the product label, or by dropping, impact, submersion in water, etc. during use.
Damage caused by improper use, intentional acts or gross negligence, or by repairs or modifications not made by us.
Faults or damage caused by fire, earthquake, storm or flood, salt damage, lightning or other natural disasters, or by abnormal external factors such as the power supply.”
In short:
- With the warranty card and the receipt, you're covered
- You're covered if it breaks under normal use (the warranty is valid in Japan only, and doesn't cover the built-in battery, sleeves, USB-C cable, inner case or entrance cap)
Always keep your receipt, just in case it breaks.
Are Paid Repairs Available for the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS?
The A10 Piston didn't offer them, but the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS had paid repairs (as of 2023).
The official site doesn't give any details on how much a repair costs.
However, only A10 Cyclone SA PLUS units with a USB-C charging port are eligible. Units with a micro-USB or pin-type port can't be repaired, so check yours first (per VORZE's page in 2023).

The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS page on the VORZE site says:
“For VORZE A10 Cyclone SA units sold in Japan, if a defect occurs within the warranty period under proper use according to the user guide or other instructions, RENDS, the manufacturer, will repair or replace it free of charge, except in the cases listed below.”

Back in July 2022, the contact page said:
“*Paid repairs for the A10 Cyclone SA+PLUS are temporarily suspended.”
Source: https://www.vorze.jp/contact/consumer/
At the time, they said they'd announce when repairs restarted, so it was worth sending a message through the contact page anyway.
Here's the contact page:
In 2022 I suggested asking the shop by email before the manufacturer. As of September 2026, though, NLS's product page says warranty, repair and exchange requests should go directly to RENDS through the official VORZE website.
The process goes like this: first, you send the broken A10 Cyclone SA PLUS to the manufacturer.
Then they send you a quote.
The cost depends on what's wrong.

If you're happy with the quote, they start the repair — that's roughly how it works.
How to Use the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Warranty
In 2022, the first step I recommended for the 3-month warranty was emailing the shop you bought it from. As of September 2026, NLS asks you to contact RENDS directly through the VORZE website for warranty claims.
Your NLS account page is here:
>>> NLS (adult goods store)If you bought from NLS (in business since 2000), you can send an inquiry about each item from your account page.

NLS will tell you the right way to handle it.
That's why I recommend buying from NLS.

They may point you to the manufacturer (today NLS does send warranty claims to RENDS), but it's reassuring to be told what to do up front.
How to Keep Your A10 Cyclone SA PLUS from Breaking
Wipe off the lotion properly
The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS is not waterproof.
The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS gets hot unless you use plenty of lotion.
So wipe the lotion off properly after use.
Riding it cowgirl-style or sitting is fine, but in missionary position, lotion can run into the machine.
Once you get used to it, you'll learn how to use it without lotion getting inside, so don't worry.
Modifying it to use an open-ended sleeve also raises the risk of breaking it, so be careful.

Here's how to modify it

Use a mount

Holding it in your hand always carries the risk of dropping it.
Dropping it is the number one cause of breakage.
I recommend NLS's Den-Ona Holder mount.
It cost ¥1,900 when I wrote this in 2022 and costs ¥2,156 (about US$14) as of September 24, 2026. Since it also stops you dropping the machine, I think it's worth buying.
It also holds the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS upright, so lotion doesn't run into the machine.
It holds it firmly, so the VR feels far more immersive too.
But don't get so absorbed that you don't notice your sister walking into the room.

Charge it even when you're not using it for a long time
Leaving the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS unused and uncharged for a long time is bad for it.
It's like how a laptop sometimes won't start at all if you never charge it.
Same thing here.
I recommend charging it regularly.
