This article is about buying in Japan. The risks of buying a used A10 Cyclone SA PLUS…
The first thing I want to tell you: there's a risk of catching an STI.
Would you really take that risk just to buy one second-hand at auction?
If not, I recommend buying a new one safely.
It may sound contradictory, but I also explain how to get a good price if you ever sell yours second-hand (sweat).

The Risks of Buying a Used A10 Cyclone SA PLUS
STIs
The biggest risk is sexually transmitted infections.
Many adult toys come with a warning like “Do not share or reuse this product, as there is a risk of STIs.”
Disinfecting with alcohol lowers the risk, but to be free of that invisible fear, I recommend buying new.
Also watch out for scam online shops selling the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS.
Many listings are the older version
Starting with the batch that went back on sale in July 2022, the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS changed its specs.
The charging port changed from micro-USB to USB-C.
When I wrote this (August 2022), VORZE said it would not repair the older micro-USB A10 Cyclone SA PLUS.
You'd have to buy a new one.
With USB-C, it also reaches a full charge faster.
If you buy one, make sure the listing clearly says it's the USB-C version.

Auction sites don't allow used adult toys, so problems are common
Mercari (a big Japanese flea-market app) bans adult toys outright, and Yahoo! Auctions (Japan's big auction site) bans used adult toys (Mercari's guide checked September 2026; Yahoo!'s rule notice of July 2025).
If you buy a used A10 Cyclone SA PLUS on Yahoo! Auctions or similar and something goes wrong, nobody will help you.
If you do buy one, check the seller's ratings carefully.
Otherwise there's a good chance you'll just have to swallow the loss.
I know I'm repeating myself, but check those ratings.
These days, ratings can even be bought.
Remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
If you want a genuine unit with peace of mind, I recommend buying from NLS, the official Japanese online store for RENDS/VORZE.
Since the auction sites don't allow these listings, your account could even get banned.

No warranty
A new A10 Cyclone SA PLUS comes with a 3-month warranty. VORZE's support page says it runs from the purchase date even without the warranty card, as long as you have proof of purchase (valid in Japan only; checked September 2026).
With a used unit, the 3 months have almost always passed, and VORZE doesn't cover second-hand units anyway — so if it breaks right away, you'll have to buy another one.
NLS accepts returns of defective items within 8 days of arrival, as long as the item is unused (simply checking that it works still counts as unused) — true when I bought mine in 2022 and still true as of September 2026.

No returns
You may just have to swallow the loss.
If there's a problem, it can turn into a pointless argument: “It worked when I shipped it” → “No, it doesn't work.”
Because of that risk, it's safer to buy from a store that accepts returns or honors the 3-month warranty if it doesn't work.
NLS sells a lot of A10 Cyclone SA PLUS units, so they're used to handling returns and warranty questions, and they handle them well (the maker's warranty is 3 months from purchase, per NLS's product page in September 2026).
A store that rarely sells it may let those things slide, so be careful.
Your family might find out
When you buy second-hand, the shipping method is another worry.
Some sellers ship it so you can see what's inside.
Buy from a seller who clearly explains how they'll ship it.
Some sellers might even write “A10 Cyclone SA” as the item name on the label.
Ask them to write something like “PC parts” as the item name, or to leave it blank.
If you absolutely don't want your family to find out, an adult-toy store that ships discreetly and lets you pick up the parcel elsewhere is safer than an auction.
It could be a scam
Auction accounts are easy to create.
Some crooks run scams planning to throw the account away afterwards.
They can also reuse photos from someone else's old listing.
To be safe, search past listings and the web for the same photos.
Check the seller's information carefully.
Nowadays even ratings can be bought.
Check whether they have a real trading history, and whether they reply properly in the comments.
Never give out your personal information, even if asked.
With the A10 Piston SA on Amazon Japan, there were sellers who misused buyers' personal information (2022).

It's safer to buy through an auction where you don't have to give the seller your address.
If the description reads oddly or feels like it was written overseas, treat it as suspicious.
Rather than take that risk, you'll feel much safer buying from an adult-toy store that has been in business since 2000.

It might be broken
By the nature of auctions, some people hide the fact that an item is broken.
There's also the risk that someone is selling an A10 Cyclone SA PLUS that works only now and then.
Buying new is the safe, risk-free choice!
Is the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Listed on Yahoo! Auctions?
On August 1, 2022, I checked whether the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS was listed on Yahoo! Auctions.
There was just one listing.
It said “new,” but the price tag looked old.
It might have been an older A10 Cyclone SA PLUS.
It was ¥20,000. Back then a new one cost about ¥23,000, so there was no reason to take the risk (as of September 24, 2026, NLS sells a new one for ¥19,800 (about US$125)).
Items on Yahoo! Auctions may also be listed on PayPay Flea Market at the same time.
Is the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Listed on Mercari?
I also checked Mercari.
Three were for sale.
I checked on August 1, 2022, and since they were used, they were probably not the USB-C version — which means VORZE won't repair them.
Only buy an A10 Cyclone SA PLUS whose listing says it charges over USB-C.
Always check this.
Never Use a Sleeve Someone Else Listed
Dedicated A10 Cyclone SA PLUS sleeves were for sale on Rakuma, Rakuten's flea-market app.
You really shouldn't use a second-hand sleeve.
Because of the STI risk.
The genitals are especially prone to infection.
If you buy a used unit, ask the seller to throw the sleeve away, or throw it away yourself as soon as it arrives.
Will Anyone Buy Back an A10 Cyclone SA PLUS?
I doubt any adult shop buys them back.
The risk is just too big.
I searched for “A10 Cyclone buyback” (in Japanese), but no adult-toy store came up.
I've never seen a shop that sells used adult toys.
If you want to sell one, it would have to be through person-to-person auctions — even though they don't allow it.
Second-hand chains like Hard Off will most likely turn it down, too.
6 Tips for Getting a Better Price If You Sell Yours Used
It isn't allowed, but here are some tips for getting a better price if you do sell on Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari or similar.
The more detail you give, the higher the price you'll get.
The sites don't allow adult toys, so this is entirely at your own risk.
Show that you've disinfected it
Just knowing it's been disinfected puts buyers at ease.
Explaining exactly how you disinfected it should help you get a better price.
The front cap gets the dirtiest, so mention that you washed it thoroughly with water.
Mention how much warranty is left
The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS warranty is only 3 months, but some is better than none.
When I wrote this, it was unclear whether a new owner could use the warranty. As of September 2026, VORZE's support page says second-hand units are not covered, so don't promise buyers that VORZE will honor it.
Something like “Until August 13, if it breaks, send it back to me and I'll handle the warranty claim for you” will still reassure buyers.
Say how much you've used it
Write how many times and how often you used it.
If you only used it a few times, say so clearly — it'll sell for more.
Use also affects the battery, so it affects the price too.
Say why you're selling
Buyers feel better when you're honest, like “It just wasn't for me.”
Without a reason, people tend to think “Isn't it being sold because it's broken?”
Also state clearly that it works properly.
Sell when new units are sold out
The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS is popular, so sometimes you can't get a new one.
Until July 2022, it had been out of stock for more than a year.
If you sell while it's out of stock, you'll get a good price.
Sell it together with the holder
If you have any accessories, sell them together with it.
Even a half-used bottle of the dedicated lotion might find a buyer.
Say which charging type it is
If you bought it in July 2022 or later, it's the version that charges over USB-C.
Before that, it used micro-USB.
Mention this, and as the “new version of the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS” it will sell for more than the old one.
Take clear photos and mention it in the description too.
