How Loud the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS Sounds to Me

How Loud Is the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS?

NLS, the official Japanese online store for RENDS/VORZE, ran a test of how quiet the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS is.

Details here:

It's loudest at top speed.

At that speed it measured about 40 decibels.

NLS says that's as quiet as a library — but if you used it in a library, people would definitely turn around.

Still, as a way of saying “it's that quiet,” the comparison is fair enough.

I measured the noise myself too, to see just how loud it gets.

Sure enough, I got 40–50 decibels.

2 Ways to Deal with the Noise When It Bothers You

[1] Wear noise-cancelling headphones

Noise-cancelling headphones are a must if you want a better experience.

The A10 Cyclone SA PLUS's motor noise takes away from the realism.

With noise-cancelling headphones, you no longer hear the machine, so you can sink deeper into the VR video.

I own three pairs of Sony headphones.

That's how essential they are.

They're handy in everyday life, too, so if you don't have a pair, I recommend getting one.

Even an older Sony model works just fine.

Sony is the name in noise-cancelling headphones, so if you don't want to get it wrong, Sony is the safe choice.

They're pricey, so renting a pair first and buying once you like them is also a good idea.

[2] Wrap it in a blanket

Wrapping the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS in a blanket makes it quieter.

Trying to get in after it's already wrapped is a pain.

So insert yourself first, then wrap the blanket around it.

The sound gets lower, so you can lose yourself in the VR video.

How to Stop the Loud “Click” of the Front Cap

The front cap is held on by a strong magnet.

So when you put it on, it makes a loud “clack”.

To avoid that, first put the front cap on without lining up the green part.

In this position the magnet isn't holding it yet, so if you twist it into place from here, the cap locks on without the loud noise.

The magnet is strong, so don't close the front cap while you're inside it.

How to Keep Your Family from Hearing the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS

If your family ever saw you inside an A10 Cyclone SA PLUS with a VR headset on, you'd never be able to look them in the eye again.

So get these measures in place beforehand.

Lock your door

If your door has no lock, get something that works like one.

Better to have them wonder “Why is the door locked?” than to be seen in that state.

A tension rod like this one works well.

It's obvious, but take no chances: make sure your door is locked.

Use it at low speed

Even at high speed it isn't that loud, but at low speed the noise will almost never give you away.

At high speed, the noise does become noticeable in the middle of the night.

Taking your time at low speed and switching to max only for the final moment is another way to lower the risk of being heard.

Only use it in one direction

It gets loud when the rotation switches direction.

It makes a clacking sound each time it switches.

So if you keep it from reversing, it's much less likely to make loud noises.

If the noise really bothers you, don't switch modes — just use the default forward-rotation mode (white lamp).

Don't use video sync

When it's synced to a video, you can't change the speed on the unit itself (VORZE's user guide says only the power button works in Bluetooth sync mode; Adult Festa's 4DMEDIAPLAYER+ app does let you adjust the signal during sync, as of September 2026).

When the actress moves hard, the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS moves hard too, and it gets louder.

Without sync, you set the speed yourself, so you can control how loud it is.

Enjoy video sync to your heart's content when your family is out.

On the other hand, don't use noise cancelling

Noise-cancelling headphones drown out the A10 Cyclone SA PLUS's motor — but they also drown out your family knocking on the door.

So when your family is home, I recommend turning noise cancelling off.

With that setting, you can hear what's going on around you even with headphones on.

Put the chain on the front door

Even when your family is out, they could come home without warning.

I don't just lock my own room — I put the chain on the front door too.

That way, nobody can get in without breaking the chain, so you can completely lose yourself in the VR video.

That sense of security really matters for getting into it.

If it's a lock rather than a chain, and your family unlocks the door and finds it locked, you can just say “I was fiddling with it and locked it by mistake.”

With a chain, it's harder to explain when your family comes home — but it still beats being seen with a toy and a VR headset.

Your family will probably message you first, so to make sure you feel your phone vibrate, it may be safer to keep it in your chest pocket.

And if nobody comes home, don't forget to take the chain off again.
